Banners & Cross Installed in Church Hall

Wharton & Cleggs Lane Church

Recent visitors to the church will have noticed some additions in the main hall.

The old 'Whit Walk' banners for both Cleggs Lane Methodist and Wharton URC have been fixed on the back wall, which has helped to take the 'plainness' off the wall, and also helps with the acoustics in the room.

The cross, which was previously mounted on a stand on the floor, has now been fixed on the wall above the alter. The cross was donated to Wharton & Cleggs Lane by Tonge Moor URC, following the closure of their church building.
